Marjuan Canady
Marjuan Canady is a native Washingtonian and one of DC’s multi-hyphenated artists - writer, director, performer, and producer. Among her accomplishments is producing an all-Black cast of Death of Salesman, starring Wendell Pierce.
The Artists’ Table
The Artists’ Table is an interview series about creativity, place, and art. Launched in the District of Columbia, a city known for GoGo music, Mumbo sauce, and activism, the project features five artists from a variety of backgrounds and disciplines. They provide insight into their art and how the city supports creativity. What emerges is a commentary on how the city is fostering equity, access, and opportunity not just for artists but also for residents and art lovers worldwide.
I created and produced the project. My vision is for The Artists’ Table to be an ongoing effort to centralize DC as a place for art and artists.
